The way I choose names

As some of you may know, I'm a bit of a writer (sometimes... I'll finish writing To Better Tomorrows eventually!) Some people have told me that I'm good at coming up with names. There is a system that I've been known to use when coming up with character names - It's a simple method, really. I look at street signs. Sometimes, I find street names that I can't really use as a character's name (I.E. Grandview). Other times, I come across something that I can actually use for several characters (I.E. McCleary, Dalton).

Here are some of the characters I've generated via this method:

The Dalton family (Dalton Street is down the hill from my house):
- James Dalton (James Street is down, then up a hill and two lefts from my house)

The McCleary twins (minor characters from Children of Mu [McCleary Street isn't far from my house])

Maria Cypress (Cypress Street, also not far from my house, but not within walking distance)

Alhambra Cypress (Alhambra Alley is just off of Grandview Avenue)

Rose Eden (I don't expect anyone to know this character yet [Rose Alley is fairly close to here, Eden Park Blvd. is VERY close to here])

Anyhow, there you have it, some insight into the inner-workings of Kadmon's writing mind :p

Yep. I'm here... I think... Am I here?

*looks around*

Bugger, there's nothing here that helps me prove or disprove my presence!
